Pitch Presentation

Get You by Jennie Nguyen

1) How successful do you feel your pitch presentation was? Why?
I feel like I did my pitch quite nicely, as I had the time to walk everyone through many details about my creative work and my intended direction style. I also had the chance to introduce my target audience for the music video, as well as my inspirations and influences for my digipack. However, I think that to expand my research further, I should also take into account different audience pleasures, which are mostly entertainment and social interaction needs, which I forgot to mention. The target audience section also needs to take into consideration different ways I could make my music video reach out to more people using PR and marketing. Overall, I feel like I did well.

2) What questions/feedback did you receive?
I received tons of good feedback from my teacher and my classmates saying the pitch was great and that it was very creative and artistic. I also received feedback about how my possible filming location (the film studio) could be a constraint as it would be too expensive to rent the place. Another feedback is about how I play with the makeup and costumes since my visuals for the music video involve heavy/contemporary-ish makeup and complex costumes.

3) Do you agree with the feedback? Is there any way that you can use any of the suggestions from this?
I really appreciate the feedback and I think I could improve my idea based on the feedback to produce a better product. I will try to cut costs by experimenting with the lighting and camera work at home first, as I get more familiar with those factors I will then film in the studio with my talents to avoid high rental costs. It wasn't my intention to use heavy makeup and complex costumes in the first place, but I will provide some reference photos/drawings of how I want my protagonists to wear on set.
